In the Spring of 2003, after getting settled into my new place (and the snow had melted), I decide to embark on several small home improvement projects.
The Table
I had never re-finished anything before, but I thought I could not make this table look any worse. This table came from my grandmother's house. Once it was a pretty table, but between my grandmother not being able to see what she was putting on the table and my mom, as a child, leaving drink rings on the table, it needed some TLC.

The Chairs
After my success with the table, I decided I needed to change the chair covering of my dinning room table, I could no longer stand the 1960s gold anymore.
The Mirror
After the table, my next refinishing project was to refinish my PINK mirror. This mirror has been in the family for many years, and has been painted many, many times. The pink was to match my sister's changing table (circa 1980). I got the mirror when I was in college, and as a pink mirror it was a conversation piece, but now it was time for a change.
As I striped the paint I found several previous paint jobs, pink, blue, red, gold, white, etc. After striping and re-staining I had the mirror itself re-silvered and now it is one the nicest pieces of furniture in own (along with the table and dinning room suite).
